Self connect and drive for action

It's been a while that I wanted to visit and update this blog. Perhaps what drove me to action today is the same thing that has kept me going during the time I was involved in other things away from this blog.

Interesting to note that my last post was before marriage. While the last year and half has enabled me to connect with what led me to start all this in the outside world, this blog definitely has a special place in what led me to start in the inner world.

What drives us to action is what we should cherish and act or not act accordingly. Writing down the thoughts is very important. For it helps to connect the dots for the self and perhaps for someone seeking to find a solution while reading this.

Kal, aaj aur kal again

All that you learn new today was already known yesterday and will be forgotten tomorrow.

Know what you want!

You not knowing what you want cannot be an excuse for you not getting it.

Aaj

Kabhi kabhi jab hota hu khush
aate hai mann mein vichar anek
sochta hu tab mai aksar, ki,
kya woh kal tha jo aaj nahi
ya aaj hai jo kal tha nahi?

nishkarsh toh iss baat ka ho pata nahi
par khushi aur gham ke yeh silsilay kabhi thamte nahi.

Neutral cities

Bangalore is amazing! No wonder its such a favorite. Awesome time with a few good men!

Can't write a long one as this. But certainly wont mind this city getting into my list of non neutral cities in future.

The Preface

“Don’t resist the effect”, were the last words he could recollect. And that he maintains to date, has made all the difference. It wasn’t easy then and isn’t now.

Sometimes dealing with the effect has this strange quality of being difficult, especially when the cause was unintended for. You may ask how many causes do we have control over. Most times we are the subjects of random events in life. And, boy oh boy, was Tarun aware of it. 

But to think of it, acceptance is one word that is highly underrated. Everything else in life is overrated. At least that’s what he had experienced so far. If there was one thing he believed strongly all his life, it was this “Follow your heart. But never let it get outside your body.” He has been the epitome of practicality. He is a man of strong will. He has persevered many a times. But alas he is also a human. This is his story and whole of his life has been a flashback.

It wasn’t the first time he had heard something similar. But this was a reaffirmation he needed now. As he lay on the bed in the operation theatre, the doctor asked for a new pair of forceps and a knife.

Think simple and if needed, act complicated. But always think simple!

Thoughts - Part 7

I think it is getting tough for me to keep aside the 'Thoughts' series! Have a few single topic posts in draft now but these thoughts just seem to leave no space for me. So while the long ones can wait even longer, here goes another in the current series. This one on the heart-mind duality:

I have no questions but I would still like to find some answers now.

Isnt it amazing how many wonders a resolve can bring for you?

Agar duniya mein timepass karne ke saadhan nahi hote toh hamara timepass kaise hota?

Agar hum sab samajhdar ho jayenge toh samajhne ke liye kya hi bachega.

It is not that complicated. Nothing is!

Follow your heart but just dont let it get outside your body.

Simplify!

Never let it build up.

Living a good life is hyped.

Mann ko jo achcha lage, karo!

Thoughts - Part 6

In gaining perseverance I lost my sincerity.

That what we call life is all futile, but we should still live to keep it alive!

Some talk more, some talk less. But talk everyone does.

Purpose, perspective, perseverance.

We all deserve to live and are bound to die.

Quite often the stuff you want to be doing is determined by the way you are doing it now.

If you have never had uncertain times you have never had certain success.

Maturity has this strange quality of making you more receptive.

You are what you become.

There is no greatness in being great.

A man at peace with himself is at peace with the whole world.
